Terms & Conditions of Service

1. Credit Card Preauthorization

1.1. Polished Cleaning Services preauthorizes your payment credit card prior to your appointment.

1.2. In the event your card is declined, the system will automatically cancel your scheduled clean.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1. Cancellations made within 71 hours of the scheduled service will incur a fee of 25% of the total booking cost.

2.2. If you cancel 23 hours before the job, a fee of 50% will be charged.

2.3. Cancellations made 3 hours before the service will be charged 100% of the total booking cost.

3. Arrival Time Flexibility

3.1. Due to the unpredictable nature of the cleaning industry, we require flexibility for arrival and departure times between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The arrival time may change due to cancellations and the other cleans on your team's schedule.

3.2. If you require an exact arrival time, there is an option to have this at an additional charge. This charge is necessary as we will need to book around your request. Be sure to select this option at the time of booking or edit your existing visits to include this preference going forward.

4. Flat Rate Pricing

4.1. Our cleaning services are priced as "Flat Rate" or "Cost per Clean." Invoices will match the estimate unless:

  • Significant home renovations or changes occur.

  • The scope of work changes by adding or removing tasks.

  • The clean becomes more labor-intensive for any reason.

4.2. When booking recurring discounted cleaning using a coupon code or special, you will be charged full price if the service is canceled during the promotional period. Additionally, discount codes applied at the time of booking recurring services are only applicable to the first clean if services are not discontinued after the first visit.

5. Cleaner Assignment

5.1. We have a comprehensive training program for our cleaning staff, and they are rotated through different routes for quality control. We cannot guarantee the same cleaner for each visit.

5.2. You may request the same cleaner for an additional 10% fee, applicable only for full-priced services. Please choose this option during booking if you prefer the same cleaner every time.

6. Biological Waste

6.1. Our staff will not clean up biological waste and may discontinue a clean if their safety is compromised.

7. "Closed Drawer/Closed Door" Policy

7.1. Cleaning staff will not open closed-off areas or drawers except for specific exceptions mentioned in the terms.

8. Parking

8.1. Clients must provide accessible parking for our cleaning staff. Paid parking charges will be added to your invoice.

9. Documentation and Photos

9.1. Our staff document their work with before and after photos for quality control and progress monitoring. These photos are used solely for these purposes and with your explicit consent.

10. Recruitment Fee

10.1. A $2500.00 recruitment fee applies if you solicit employment or cleaning arrangements with a former or current Polished Cleaning team member within 24 months of their termination.

11. Damaged Items

11.1. In the event of damage or breakage during your appointment, your cleaner will contact you, and a Polished Cleaning representative will follow up to discuss the issue.

12. Resuming Services After Pause

12.1. If cleaning services are paused for more than six weeks, your job will be canceled in the system and the client will need to rebook the job using the most recent pricing.

13. Appointment Duration

13.1. Appointment times are an estimate only based on two cleaners attending.

13.2. The duration may fluctuate for any reason.

13.3. Polished Staff is not required to clean for a minimum amount of time as the quoted cost is a flat rate.
